The PlayStation 2 console was officially revealed at the Tokyo Game Show of September 1999, and was showcased with a number of demos including Tekken Tag Tournament, Gran Turismo 2000 (later renamed Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec) and an action role-playing game called Eternal Ring from a certain FromSoftware, the same studio that would later create Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring.
